The Compact Sedan From Volkswagen, The Voyage 1.6, With Automatic Transmission, Surprises With An Efficient Fuel Consumption Of 19.5 Km/L. But Is It Worth Investing In The Model Considering The Current Market?

The Volkswagen Voyage 1.6 is one of the most iconic compact sedans from the brand in Brazil, with a successful track record and strong sales. Competing in the segment with models like Fiat Cronos and Renault Logan, the Voyage stands out for its fuel efficiency and mechanical robustness.

The Voyage features a solid design and traits of a traditional compact sedan. Its trunk offers 480 liters of capacity, slightly smaller than some of its competitors. Inside, the finish is simple, reflecting its position as a more accessible car designed for urban use and work, such as in ride-sharing services.

Performance And Fuel Consumption

Equipped with a 1.6 16 valves EA211 engine and an automatic transmission, the Voyage 1.6 provides a satisfying driving experience. Its fuel consumption is one of its strong points, reaching 19.5 km/l in highway tests. In the city, the vehicle averages 11.8 km/l, a remarkable performance for its category.

The Voyage 1.6 offers multimedia connectivity and other technological features suited for its category. However, the car lacks some comfort and luxury items found in more expensive competing models.

Price And Competitiveness

With a starting price of R$ 63,187 for the automatic version, the Voyage positions itself as an affordable option in the compact sedan segment. However, competition is fierce with models like Fiat Cronos, Renault Logan, Toyota Etios, and Hyundai HB20, which offer various advantages, from price to additional features.

The Volkswagen Voyage 1.6 stands out for its exceptional fuel consumption and being a robust and reliable option. However, when considering alternatives in the market, it is possible to find models with better cost-benefit ratios, especially if the focus is on more space or additional features. The Voyage is a solid choice but not necessarily the best within its segment, having, for example, the Jetta.
