When Imetame’s Port Terminal in Aracruz is Operational, It is Estimated That About 640 Direct Jobs Will Be Created Alongside Another Thousand Indirect Jobs
The construction works of the port terminal in Aracruz, Espírito Santo by Imetame Logistics Porto are just steps away from becoming a reality. The company reports that it is only waiting for the signing of the lease contract with the Secretariat of the Union’s Patrimony (SPU), which is currently in its final phase.

The Governor of Espírito Santo, Renato Casagrande, shared the good news about the start of works on the Imetame Port last Monday (10/05). The announcement took place during an event for the renewal of the contract for the Port Terminal of Vila Velha, where over R$ 500 million will be injected in investments in Espírito Santo until 2048, and approximately 600 new job opportunities for the region will be generated soon.
“We have extraordinary expectations in the port area. Among other cases, we have strong investment expectations for Imetame port, whose construction will begin in the coming days”, said Casagrande.

According to Imetame, around one billion reais will be invested to finalize the port works, which will occur in two phases. According to the company, the first phase is expected to be completed in up to three years and involves the handling of containers and general cargo.
Initially, 650 direct job opportunities will be generated for drivers, equipment operators, and construction professionals. The other 300 jobs will be opportunities in the supply chain. Imetame states that hiring will occur gradually, respecting the needs in accordance with the progress of the works.
