The oil city Macaé will have 100 airport flight connections

The flights will be daily, providing a safe, fast and comfortable option for the population of Macaé and professionals

Last Monday, the 9th, the first flight on the Rio de Janeiro x Macaé route operated by Azul Linhas Aéreas landed, which returned to Macaé Airport after 4 years of absence. In Macaé, today, tomorrow and Friday, vacancies will be offered in civil construction, oil and other areas in numbers that exceed 1000 positions, find out how to apply!

The flight took off from Galeão Airport, in Rio, at around 10 am, and arrived in Macaé just over an hour later, then heading to Campos, from where it will return to the capital of Rio de Janeiro.

The flights will be daily, providing a safe, fast and comfortable option for the population of Macaé and also for service providers and professionals who need to travel from the state capital to the north of Rio de Janeiro.

“We are very happy to resume our operations in Macaé, serving another important destination in the country with intense economic activity. The coolest thing is that from the beginning of next year, Macaé and Campos will have two daily flights, which will allow us to offer more seats and even more convenient time options to our Customers. Thus, anyone departing from one of these cities will be able to go and return on the same day. This is a huge advance for these routes, as it strengthens the connectivity of our network”, says Abhi Shah, Vice President of Revenues.

With the new runway and the new passenger terminal, Macaé Airport also had the auction of airport concessions, promoted by the federal government in March of that year, when Zurich Airport purchased the so-called Southeast Block, with the airports of Macaé and Vitória, in Espírito Santo.

To manage the airports, the group Zurich created the company Aeroportos do Sudeste do Brasil (ASeB), which should start operations at the airport by the end of this year, which is why there is great expectation for the expansion of the number of flights, promoting the economic development of the city and the region.

The opening of the company's 106th base of operations allowed Galeão airport 13 daily departures to six destinations: Campinas and Belo Horizonte – Azul's two main hubs –, São José dos Campos, Ribeirão Preto, Campos dos Goytacazes and Macaé.
