A Açu Petróleo has signed an agreement aimed at fully and exclusively allocating 05 tugs from Wilson Sons to the operations at Terminal 1 of the Açu Port, located in São João da Barra, Rio de Janeiro. A Açu Petróleo and Petrobras have signed a contract to increase the volume of barrels of oil exported through the state-owned company’s private terminal at the Açu Port.

The announcement was made today (14) by Açu Petróleo via its official communication channels. “Our clients’ satisfaction is our priority, and we are continuously seeking solutions to increase the availability of our Terminal,” the company stated.
Wilson Sons has long been a major partner of Açu Petróleo and monitors the company’s activities at the Açu Port. With greater predictability in service delivery, Açu Petróleo’s clients can plan safely, efficiently, and sustainably.

A Açu Petróleo and Its Operations at Açu Port in Rio de Janeiro
A Açu Petróleo, a partnership between Prumo and Oiltanking, is dedicated to providing infrastructure and services for the safe, efficient, and sustainable movement of oil. The company has been operating the oil terminal (T-OIL) located at Açu Port since 2016, the largest port-industry complex in the country.
Licensed to handle 1.2 million barrels per day and with a depth of 25 meters, T-OIL is the only private Brazilian terminal capable of receiving VLCC-class ships. The terminal has a strategic location in the northern part of the State of Rio de Janeiro and has an expansion plan that includes the provision of storage, treatment, and blending oil services.
