The Objective Of The Contract With FERBASA Is For AES Brazil To Provide 80 MW Of Wind Power For A Period Of 20 Years, With Energy Delivery Starting In 2024.
AES Brazil reported through a material fact on the night of this Tuesday, 12, that it signed today a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ferbasa for a wind power project. The parties, from the signing of the MoU, which binds commercial terms and conditions, will begin negotiating the contract that will detail the commitments already established in the Memorandum and will establish essential clauses for the celebration of the business.

Ferbasa also issued a relevant fact explaining that the acquisition of the volume of 80MW of average wind power does not represent an increase in productive capacity, but rather a strategy for reducing energy costs in its contract portfolio.
AES Brazil further informed that the wind power park will be developed at the Cajuína Wind Complex, in the state of Rio Grande do Norte, an area where the company is already establishing its wind cluster, with construction expected to begin in 2021.

AES Brazil has been investing in Brazil for over 20 years and is a 100% renewable electricity generator in the country. The company stated that it aims to increase its efforts in wind and solar energy in the coming years.
