- 01 year of experience as MCB on oil tankers or platforms;
- High School Diploma;
- Competence Certificate for the category established in Regulation II/4 of STCW-78/95, in the category of Cabotage Master (MCB);
- CIR issued by the Maritime Authority of Brazil;
- CBSP;
- CESS;
- CERR;
- CACI;
- CIR from the Republic of the Marshall Islands.

After the Brazilian state-owned company Petrobras announced on April 2 a cut of 200,000 barrels per day in its oil production, the government of Rio de Janeiro sent the oil company a request for more details about the new measure. Petrobras did not disclose which fields it intends to halt production.
