There Was an 86% Reduction in Scope 1 and 2 Emissions, and the Company Presented an Audited and Certified Inventory of Its Greenhouse Gas Production.
The Norwegian Aker Solutions, one of the largest global producers of goods, systems, and services for the energy sector, received the Clima Paraná Seal in category A, the highest among four possible categories, on Monday, December 4th.
The company’s factory in São José dos Pinhais was recently accredited by the State of Paraná’s Secretariat of Sustainable Development and Tourism (Sedest) for its excellent environmental, social, and governance (ESG) policies.
Aker Solutions used 100% renewable energy in its factory, which contributed to its net zero (zero net greenhouse gas emissions) in scope 2 emissions (indirect, coming from energy purchased for the company’s own use), which served as the basis for its certification.
