With Investments of US$ 458 Million (About R$ 2.3 Billion), New Diesel Hydrotreatment Plant at Paulínia Refinery (Replan), Petrobras, Promises to Generate 6,000 Jobs in SP
Petrobras informed in a material fact to the market that it signed on last Monday (5/9) a contract with the Toyo Setal HDT Paulínia Consortium, formed by the companies TSE and TOYO, for the construction of a new diesel hydrotreatment unit (HDT) at the Paulínia Refinery (Replan).
According to Petrobras, the project will allow the state company to increase its Diesel S-10 production by 10,000 m³ per day starting in 2025, the deadline for the plant’s start-up.

The investment in the new HDT will be US$ 458 million, and it is expected that approximately 3,000 direct jobs and another 3,000 indirect jobs will be generated in the region during the construction period. With this unit, the fourth HDT at Replan, all diesel produced at the refinery will be low sulfur, in addition to allowing an increase in the production of aviation kerosene (QAV).

Inaugurated in May 1972, Replan is the largest refinery in Brazil in processing capacity, with a load of 69 million liters (434,000 barrels) of oil per day. In addition to diesel oil, the refinery produces gasoline, aviation kerosene, asphalts, LPG, and propene, among other petroleum derivatives.
