BNDES Releases R$ 694 Million for Way 112 to Invest in Improvements on Highways MS-112, BR-158 and BR-436, with Works Scheduled Until 2032.
The National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) approved financial support of R$ 694 million for Way 112, the concessionaire responsible for highways in Mato Grosso do Sul.
The amount will be used for recovery works, operation, improvements, and increasing the capacity of highways MS-112, BR-158, and BR-436.
The package includes R$ 650 million in issuance of debentures of R$ 1 billion, coordinated by the banks BNDES, Daycoval and BTG Pactual.

Details of the Works
The resources will allow Way 112 to carry out a series of improvements until 2032. There will be 59 accesses implemented on the three highways: 25 on MS-112, 30 on BR-158, and 4 on BR-436.
The project also provides for 369.13 km of shoulders, with 361.82 km on MS-112 and 7.31 km on BR-158. There will also be 53.38 km of additional lanes on single carriageways, distributed over 5.41 km on MS-112, 35.37 km on BR-158, and 12.60 km on BR-436.
Among the highlighted works are the São Pedro Bypass, with 1.5 km on MS-112, and the Cassilândia Bypass, with 6.6 km on BR-158.

The CEO of the Way Brasil Group, Paulo Nunes Lopes, emphasized the importance of the financing.
He pointed out that the highways managed by Way 112 form an important logistics corridor that transports a significant portion of the agricultural production of Mato Grosso do Sul, Mato Grosso, and Goiás.
“The fundraising under the leadership of BNDES guarantees the execution of fundamental investments for the modernization of the road system,” he stated.
Lopes also highlighted the group’s initiatives aimed at new technologies. According to him, the concept of intelligent highways has been adopted, connecting people and systems, in strategic partnerships like this one with BNDES.
About the Concessionaire
Way 112 was created specifically to manage public services of recovery, operation, maintenance, conservation, implementation of improvements, and capacity expansion on MS-112 and on sections of highways BR-158 and BR-436. In total, there are 412.4 km under concession.
The contract has a duration of 30 years and is part of the Way Brasil Group, composed of GLP Participações S/A, Senpar Ltda, Bandeirantes Concessões e Participações Ltda, TORC – Terraplenagem, Obras Rodoviárias e Construções Ltda, and TCL Tecnologia e Construções Ltda.
The project reinforces the group’s presence in road infrastructure and demonstrates the importance of the partnership between the private sector and BNDES for regional development.
