The First Ship of Braskem’s Own Fleet Will Join a Set of Six Vessels, Highlighting the Company’s Pursuit of Expansion.

Braskem announced the operational launch of the Brillant Future, its first ship under leasing, with an estimated value of US$ 80 million.

The vessel will be responsible for transporting ethane on the route between the United States and Mexico, as part of a broader strategy to optimize logistics and reduce costs in the transportation of chemical products.

Built in China, the Brillant Future features an innovative design, with three StarTrilobe tanks that increase storage capacity by 25% compared to traditional tanks.

Sustainability and Innovation: Dual-Fuel Engine and CO₂ Reduction

Measuring 188 meters in length and with a storage capacity of 36,000 m³, the Brillant Future is a vessel that stands out for its energy efficiency.

Its dual-fuel engine, which uses bunker oil and ethane, represents a reduction of up to 40% in CO₂ emissions.

The initiative reflects Braskem’s commitment to sustainability and technological innovation.
