The New Electric Car Dealerships of BYD Will Be in Full Operation by the End of 2022. There Will Be About 5 Dealerships Distributed in Brazilian States. The Multinational’s Goal Is to Inaugurate More Than 45 Points of Sale in Brazil.

The multinational BYD announced on Friday (25) the name of another partner that will help the automaker in the process of creating a network of dealerships for reselling its electric cars in Brazil. BYD appointed the Águia Branca group, which now aims to inaugurate at least five dealerships in the states of Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo by the end of 2022.

New Dealership Network in Partnership with Águia Branca Group

Headquartered in Espírito Santo, where it began operations in 1946, the Águia Branca Group operates throughout Brazil in various segments of transportation, logistics, and vehicle sales.

According to the plan, BYD dealerships will be located in Belo Horizonte, Uberlândia, and Juiz de Fora/MG, as well as in the cities of Vitória and Vila Velha/ES. According to BYD’s sales director, Henrique Antunes, the main objective is to initially be present in major cities in Brazil, leveraging the experiences of groups operating in the automotive market.

Antunes also stated that soon, the Águia Branca Group will announce other cities where they will build new BYD electric car dealerships. The goal is to open 45 dealerships in Brazil by the end of 2022, with representatives in São Paulo, Paraná, and Rio Grande do Sul, in addition to 14 more points of sale for electric and hybrid cars in Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo.

Last year, BYD participated in the Electric Experience, an event held in inland São Paulo with support from various partners and InsideEVs Brazil to promote electric mobility in the country. The Chinese brand launched the BYD Tan and also its new strategy for passenger electric cars in the country.

This year, BYD will present the new electric sedan from the BYD Han line, which will start selling soon, by the end of the first semester. In the future, starting in the second semester, BYD intends to present the BYD Song models, a hybrid SUV that has stood out for its total range of 1,200 km, in addition to the BYD Qin Plus hybrid sedan, which has an average consumption of 26 km and an electric range of 55 km or 120 km, depending on the chosen version.
