Fiat plans to surprise the market and its competitors with the relaunch of a popular car that is considered one of the best, now with a price below R$ 40 thousand. The goal is to redefine and revolutionize the model that once consolidated the automaker’s reputation. These decisions are part of the sales tactics of the renowned Italian company.
Fiat Topolino Returns to the Market with an Attractive Price
Now, focusing on appealing to classic car enthusiasts, Fiat’s popular car will return with a unique design. It is the Fiat Topolino, a compact car that has been fully modernized. Discover the History of the Fiat Topolino
The Topolino was one of the smallest cars in the world at the time of its production. Launched in 1937, three models were produced until 1955, all with only minor mechanical and cosmetic changes. It was equipped with a four-cylinder engine, with side-valves in the block, with a water-cooled engine mounted in front of the front axle of 569 cc, and thus it was a large-scale car, rather than a Cyclecar.
With an output of around 13 horsepower, the model’s top speed was about 85 km/h, and it could achieve around 39.2 miles per gallon of the U.S.
Another Launch from Fiat Promises to Shake Up the Market
In addition to the Fiat Topolino, Fiat promises to shake up the market with another vehicle. The automaker announced a launch that promises to stir its competitors, such as Volkswagen and Chevrolet. The launch, scheduled for August, involves one of Fiat’s best-selling models, the Strada, which is in for a tough competition with other favorites in the sector, such as Volkswagen’s Saveiro or Chevrolet’s Montana.
With the T200 engine, the 1.0 turbo, 3 cylinders, with direct injection and MultiAir valve system. There are 125 horsepower on gasoline and 130 horsepower with ethanol, always with a torque of 21.4 kgfm from 1,750 rpm. It is the same engine that is already in the Pulse and Fastback, but with a different response adjustment for the Strada, despite the same power and torque figures. The transmission is a CVT automatic, with a simulation of 7 gears.
