The investment works for the new Midea factory, a Chinese multinational appliance company, in Pouso Alegre, are advancing vigorously, revealing the first tangible signs after the groundbreaking ceremony of the project seven months ago. At the event held on November 22, the company officially inaugurated the construction site, marking a crucial step with the presence of high-ranking executives, including Midea’s CEO in Brazil, Felipe Costa, and the State Secretary of Economic Development of Minas Gerais, Fernando Passalio. The expectation is that 500 job vacancies will be created, and the factory will be completed in 2024.

The multinational Midea has already established its presence with two factories in Brazil and is significantly advancing its project in Pouso Alegre, consolidating its contribution to the national economy.
