Jurong Aracruz Shipyard – EJA located in Espírito Santo is a shipyard dedicated to shipbuilding, transformation, and repairs of offshore equipment. It is worth mentioning that Jurong is currently one of the few large shipyards in operation in Brazil. The company currently has job openings for the positions of mechanical engineer, electrician, instrument technician, project engineer, and planning assistant.

Mechanical Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan, execute, and monitor general production activities, ensuring quality service and schedule adherence, providing support to other areas of the company;
  • Prepare work plan, schedule, and manpower plan for project timelines;
  • Collaborate with other project team members to meet project requirements and schedules.

Requirements:

  • Full graduation in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent;
  • Experience and familiarity in interpreting construction, assembly drawings, and P&ID;
  • Experience/knowledge of working with static and rotating equipment;
  • Experience in the Naval and Offshore industry is a differential;
  • Advanced English is mandatory;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Electrical Technician for Power and Control

Job Responsibilities:

  • Test and diagnose low voltage electrical equipment, cables, and complete electrical circuits;
  • Perform verification cycles;
  • Assist in the process of energizing equipment;
  • Replace or repair damaged equipment or wiring, using appropriate tools if necessary.

Requirements:

  • Completed High School and qualification course in the electrical field;
  • Basic NR10 course with 40h;
  • Knowledge of symbols and technical standards, electrical installations, and basic electrical tools and instruments;
  • Able to interpret electrical diagrams, symbols, and other documentation related to the discipline.

Instrument Technician

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform calibration and adjustments on instruments, equipment, and devices related to control and supervisory systems, comparing with pre-established standards and using appropriate tools;
  • Execute tests of loops related to control and supervisory systems;
  • Perform maintenance and identify and solve failures in instruments, equipment, automation panels, low voltage electrical panels, and electronic devices.

Requirements:

  • Completed high school;
  • Basic NR10 course with 40h;
  • Technical education in the area will be considered a differential;
  • Desired knowledge in supervisory systems, remote panels, standard measurement equipment (flow, level, pressure, and temperature).

Planning Assistant

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for measurement;
  • Analyze the contractual scope of work, considering all phases of the project;
  • Assist in analyzing the client’s contractual schedule;
  • Assist in the analysis of the WBS (Work Breakdown Structure).

Requirements:

  • Completed high school;
  • Intermediate English;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Project Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage team results towards project objectives, schedule, and budget, ensuring strict compliance with client and contract requirements;
  • Monitor the execution of services in all disciplines to solve work problems and monitor the generation of drawings;
  • Monitor productivity rates.

Requirements:

  • Graduation in Naval Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related disciplines;
  • Proficiency in managing the entire project lifecycle in the naval/offshore industry;
  • Advanced English.
