“Mota-Engil informs that it has entered into several relevant contracts in Brazil in the Engineering and Construction and Oil & Gas business segments, the market in which Mota-Engil operates and with its subsidiary ECB,” said the group in a statement. , yesterday (10/02).

About the millionaire contracts of the construction company Mota-Engil in Brazil

At issue is a contract signed, through the ECB, with the mining company VALE, worth 28 million euros, for the execution of works at the Torto Dam, in Minas Gerais, for the construction of a dam on land.

Mota-Engil also signed a four-year contract worth 39 million euros for the maintenance of offshore oil platforms, with onshore manufacturing at the industrial base in Macaé.

Additionally, the company saw its contract with Petrobas increased by eight million euros.

“In this regard, it is also worth mentioning the signing of a new contract valid for 30 months at the REDUC refinery, located in Rio de Janeiro, referring to the construction and assembly of piping, electrical parts, instrumentation, as well as all mechanical and compressor installation including commissioning and assisted operation, with a total value of 22 million euros, with the total number of projects in this segment in the order book awarded by Petrobras totaling around 178 million euros”, he added.

About Chinese CCCC projects in Brazil

The infrastructure giant Chinese CCCC (China Communications Construction Company), which has already bought 80% of the Brazilian company Concremat, has eight more companies operating in Brazil and won the auction for the Salvador-Itaparica bridge, advances in Brazil earlier this month.

Now Cade (Administrative Council for Economic Defense) has reached the process of buying part of the Portuguese construction company Mota-Engil by the CCCC, signed in 2020.

The Brazilian agency began to analyze the negotiation between the two companies that have operations in the country. The Portuguese company, which also owns shares in Ecoss Ambiental, an urban cleaning company in São Paulo, has eight other companies in Brazil.
