Coopercarga, One of the Main Logistics Operators in Brazil, Took Another Important Step Towards the Sustainability of Operations in Early 2023.
Reinforcing a long-standing partnership with CMA-CGM, the company has launched a complete line of Natural Gas and/or Biogas trucks for port use.
This initiative aligns with CMA-CGM Group’s global goals to reduce the environmental impacts of the organization’s activities. It is estimated that the gas-powered vehicles chosen by Coopercarga can deliver a reduction of up to 16% in CO2 emissions compared to equivalent diesel-powered vehicles.
Cassiano Fernandes, National Manager of Port Operations at Coopercarga, explains that this project promotes Green Logistics, reaffirming the importance of reducing the impacts of logistics activities and contributing to ESG-related goals for both organizations. In addition, it expands the portfolio of customized logistics solutions.

This acquisition is also directly linked to the company’s values, as it is committed to providing excellence in customer service. The responsibility for fleet management falls to Arthur Ravanelli, who has extensive experience in the transport sector. He mentions: “I am grateful for the opportunity to structure this new sector that ranges from hiring and selecting drivers to managing the fleet as a whole.”
All acquisitions made by Coopercarga are aimed at ensuring the sustainability of business operations. Thus, the vehicles acquired offer safe and reliable equipment, as well as highly qualified drivers to carry out end-to-end operations. The acquisition also extends to the agribusiness sector, including heavy trucks, four-axle lowbed trailers, and 6×2 tractor units.
To ensure safety during the process, all drivers undergo appropriate training before the start of operations. In this way, Coopercarga seeks to combine technology, quality, and high performance to provide a personalized and satisfactory service for its customers. In the coming years, further acquisitions are anticipated to further strengthen the company’s market position.
