The Paula Souza Center (CPS), through its Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) platform, is offering a free online motorcycle mechanics course. Those who wish to gain basic knowledge on the subject should undergo this training, considering that, according to data from Fenabrave, motorcycle sales grew by 33.7% in the first quarter of last year compared to the same period the previous year.
CPS Motorcycle Mechanics Course Will Have a Workload of 30 Hours
The motorcycle is the chosen means of transportation for a large part of Brazilians due to its agility and practicality. Furthermore, since it consumes a smaller amount of fuel compared to cars, the vehicle is also favorable from an economic standpoint.
With more two-wheeled vehicles circulating across the country, the demand for maintenance services and safe riding increases. Thus, CPS has developed a free online course on basic motorcycle mechanics. The Motorcycle Mechanics Course has a workload of 30 hours and completely online modules.

The CPS free course is an initial training that consists of 7 classes. The syllabus will cover topics such as:
- Relationship and Brakes (chain, disc brake, sprocket, and drum brake);
- Lubrication (chain lubrication, oil change, and oil leak in the fork);
- Transmission and Clutch (clutch adjustment and pedal adjustment);
- Air and Fuel Filters (how to save fuel and air filter replacement);
- Tires (tire replacement and tire lifespan);
- Safety and Protective Equipment (safety items, recurring problems, and part wear);
- Electrical (dashboard maintenance, battery, lamps, and spark plugs).
Each module of the free online course includes a set of activities that relate to the studied theme. In addition, the platform content is fully responsive, meaning it can be accessed from a computer, mobile phone, or tablet.
After completing all stages of the motorcycle mechanics course, the student must respond to a quality survey from the Paula Souza Center. Afterwards, they will be eligible to obtain the digital course completion certificate. The document, generated in PDF, includes a QR Code that ensures validation.
