About the CARO Award
The CARO Award – Properly Regulated Field – is an initiative promoted by the Executive Committee of the CARO project, composed of members from the following institutions and organizations: ABPIP – Brazilian Association of Independent Oil Producers; ONIP – National Organization of the Oil Industry; FGV Energia – Getúlio Vargas Foundation; IEE USP – Institute of Energy and Environment at the University of São Paulo; SENAI CIMATEC; PRH/27 – Human Resources Program of ANP; EnergyC Platform; Until the Last Barrel and Bahia-Sergipe Section of SPE – Society of Petroleum Engineers;
Furthermore, the CARO Award aims to contribute to the regulatory flexibility and simplification of the onshore environment for exploration and production of oil and natural gas in the country by proposing and sharing innovative ideas and solutions.

Eighteen Thousand in Cash for Students and Professionals
The works of the winning onshore students will be awarded the following financial prizes: I – First Place: R$ 10,000.00 (ten thousand reais); II – Second Place: R$ 5,000.00 (five thousand reais); III – Third Place: R$ 3,000.00 (three thousand reais).
About the CARO Award Applications
Young students, industry professionals, academic researchers, and scholars interested in the areas of exploration and production of oil and natural gas from onshore concessions in Brazil can apply for the CARO Award.
Therefore, members of the Executive Committee, mentors (dear ones), and individuals related to them up to the first degree of kinship are not eligible to participate in the CARO Award. Finally, applications are free and must be submitted individually through the form available at: https://cutt.ly/Od2GBps
In closing, the application period will be from August 14, 2020, to August 21, 2020, or until reaching the maximum value, established by the Executive Committee, of 400 (four hundred) applications.
