The Alberto Pasqualini Refinery is located on an area of 580 hectares in the municipality of Canoas-RS, where the Fazenda da Brigadeira used to be situated. It processes 32,000 m³/day and primarily serves the regional market, focusing on maximizing diesel oil production. Since 2001, it has been established as Alberto Pasqualini – Refap SA, being reintegrated into Petrobras in August 2012.
The refinery is connected, via pipelines, to the Almirante Soares Dutra Maritime Terminal (Tedut) in Osório/RS, and to the Niterói Terminal (Tenit) in Canoas/RS, from where product transportation is conducted via waterways to the Terminal in Rio Grande, in Rio Grande/RS.
Petrobras is currently present in 19 countries, managing oil and gas exploration in these areas. Through joint ventures and partnerships, its units incorporate the most advanced technology, remaining a global reference in the energy sector.
