Over 60 Wind Turbines in the New Wind Power Park
In operation since the end of 2018, the asset currently has 65 wind turbines distributed across wind farms over an area of 2,854 hectares.
The company reported that the expansion will begin later this year, with commercial operations expected to start in 2021, providing an estimated annual electricity generation capacity of 366 thousand MWh.

Every time a river flows into the sea, an amount of energy equivalent to a 120-meter waterfall is silently wasted, but Japan has just inaugurated the world’s first power plant that captures this waste and transforms it into electricity 24 hours a day without sun, wind, or fuel.

About Investment in Wind Energy
If there is one thing to be proud of and to take advantage of for building wealth, creating jobs, and improving income conditions in Piauí, it is the production of wind and solar energy. This is what the governor of Piauí, Wellington Dias, states, highlighting that Piauí has 14 wind and solar energy production parks with investments of R$ 18 billion, achieving a production of 2 gigawatts (GW).
He stated that Piauí is 8 degrees from the Equator, making the sun strong enough for energy generation, with sufficient sunlight and rays for solar energy generation, and a higher than average number of favorable hours for solar energy generation per day compared to Brazil and the world.
