About Investment in Wind Energy

If there is one thing to be proud of and to take advantage of for building wealth, creating jobs, and improving income conditions in Piauí, it is the production of wind and solar energy. This is what the governor of Piauí, Wellington Dias, states, highlighting that Piauí has 14 wind and solar energy production parks with investments of R$ 18 billion, achieving a production of 2 gigawatts (GW).

He stated that Piauí is 8 degrees from the Equator, making the sun strong enough for energy generation, with sufficient sunlight and rays for solar energy generation, and a higher than average number of favorable hours for solar energy generation per day compared to Brazil and the world.
