A new high-tech electric motorcycle has been unveiled, offering incredible speeds and a futuristic design that looks like it's straight out of a sci-fi movie.
As futuristic electric motorcycles have always attracted the eyes and imagination of speed lovers. Now, a new feature from EyeLights promises to take this concept to another level. Called the Rocket One, this electric motorcycle combines futuristic design and impressive performance, creating an experience that seems to be taken straight from a scene from science fiction.
Rocket One — the incredible electric motorcycle
The Rocket One is not just another futuristic prototype. Designed by French company EyeLights, known for helmet technology, the electric motorcycle boasts impressive performance figures.
With 180 horsepower and maximum torque of 1.200 nm, it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2,6 seconds.

The design is a mix of innovation and tradition. The bike features low, sloping handlebars and eye-catching details such as the huge, circular LED headlight.
This element dominates the front of the bike and reinforces the futuristic look, reminiscent of a jet engine. Other technical details include high-performance brakes. performance and a sculpted seat, ideal for those seeking comfort amidst high technology.
Development of electric motorcycle in record time
Creating something of this magnitude usually takes years, but EyeLights completed the prototype in just three months. Designer Alan Derosier was responsible for turning the project into reality, despite having no prior experience with motorcycles.
"I decided to approach the design like I do with cars. The focus was on proportions and silhouette, creating something that was both functional and aesthetically pleasing.”, explained Derosier.
The result is impressive, with large batteries for robust performance and competitive autonomy.
Autonomy
According to EyeLights, the Rocket One can reach up to 400 km of autonomy on a single charge. This number puts the model on the same level as some of the largest batteries available on the market, such as the Ego+ Energy, which offers autonomy of up to 420 km.
However, as with many concepts, performance may vary. In real-world usage situations, especially at high speeds or in extreme conditions, this autonomy may be considerably reduced.
Even so, the proposal is ambitious. To achieve these numbers, a large-capacity battery and efficient power management will be required.
Rocket One and augmented reality
The Rocket One's big difference goes beyond traditional engineering. The motorcycle was designed to integrate the EyeRide, a Display which projects information onto the pilot's helmet display.
Launched by EyeLights in 2018, EyeRide provides data such as speed, battery level and remaining range using a compact nano OLED screen. Although it is already on the market, the acceptance of this type of technology still faces challenges.
Although innovative, the display may be considered uncomfortable for some riders, adding weight to the helmet and restricting some peripheral vision.
Still, the system represents an interesting step forward in the use of augmented reality on motorcycles.
From concept to reality
Despite being presented as “ready for production”, Rocket One still has an uncertain path ahead. Turning such a bold concept into a viable product involves technical and regulatory challenges.
Safety, durability and roadworthiness testing are just some of the hurdles EyeLights will face if it decides to take the Rocket One to the streets.
For now, the bike remains a statement of innovation and a complement to the company's portfolio, which until now had been focused exclusively on helmet accessories.
Growing interest and waiting list
Since its unveiling at EICMA, one of the world’s largest motorcycle trade shows, the Rocket One has been attracting attention. EyeLights has already created a waiting list for interested parties, showing that there is a market for bold ideas like this.
However, mass production still seems like a distant dream. Creating a prototype is one thing; getting it into the hands of consumers is another.
In the meantime, Rocket One stands as a reminder of what is possible when design, technology and vision come together.
And for those who dream of piloting a futuristic machine, hope remains alive — even if it may take a while to materialize.
