According to the report, the event, which will be held from March 15 to 27, is a showcase of talents that not only encourages students towards scientific research but also awards the best ideas, which can be viewed and voted on by internet users. Among the 345 finalist projects conducted by students from fundamental, medium, and technical education, there are applications for people with special needs, studies on the effects of the Covid pandemic, recycling projects, and artificial intelligence.
“Febrace encourages reflection, creativity, and innovation to solve problems. This is part of our daily life at Petrobras. It’s important to encourage students to overcome challenges and break through the barrier of scientific knowledge through research and experimentation,” analyzes Petrobras’ Sponsorships and Events manager Aislan Greca.

Petrobras Has Sponsored the Febrace Fair on Engineering and Sciences for 15 Years
A partner for 15 years with Febrace, created in 2003, Petrobras participates in this edition, which will be entirely online, with an interactive booth where participants can answer a quiz and compete for prizes. In addition to the virtual booths of the sponsors, Febrace will hold lectures from March 17 to 25, always from 4:00 PM to 4:45 PM, on the fair’s YouTube channel. The lectures will be live and will remain available on the website.
The Febrace Virtual platform, which will host the event, allows the public to participate in the fair and vote on projects. Visitors will be able to watch lectures and live sessions, visit the project showcase, get to know the sponsors’ booths, and even take a souvenir photo.
“In 2021, the showcase of finalist projects, even if virtual, will maintain the same scientific rigor and infrastructure, ensuring the exhibition of projects and evaluation by specialists on a specially developed platform, enabling interaction between the audience and participants, and integrated voting with Facebook, where students can like and vote on their favorite projects,” says the scientific coordinator of Febrace, Professor Roseli de Deus Lopes. Popular voting ensures a separate award and does not interfere with the evaluation panels that select the first to fourth place in each category.
