The consortia had submitted their final proposals on the last day, March 8, and were eagerly awaiting the results. The Águas Azuis Consortium achieved, in the selection phase, local content rates of 31.6% for the first ship and an average of 41% for the other three ships in the series.
According to the submitted proposal, the Oceana Shipyard will build an intellectual property vessel (NAPIP) of the German company TKMS, based on the MEKO A100-class ships.
It is expected that contracts between Emgepron and the future SPE “Águas Azuis” will be signed by the end of the year, including the main contract and other related contracts (technology transfer, integrated logistical support, and compensation) as outlined in the RFP (request for proposal).
