The New Factory Comes from a Partnership Between Eve Air Mobility and Embraer That Joined Forces to Produce Electric Aircraft, Commonly Called Flying Cars, eVTOL in São Paulo
The Vice President and Minister of Development, Industry, and Commerce, Geraldo Alckmin, celebrated the announcement of the construction of the first factory for electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft, popularly known as “flying cars,” in a partnership between Eve Air Mobility and Embraer. The new industrial plant will be located in Taubaté, in the interior of São Paulo, according to R7.
The production facility for the highly anticipated “flying cars” will be built at Embraer’s existing facilities in Taubaté, expanding the already established structure. The choice of location was based on its strategic position, with easy access to highways and proximity to a railway line, which facilitates logistics. Additionally, the proximity to Embraer’s headquarters in São José dos Campos and Eve’s engineering and human resources team were determining factors for the decision.
New Factory of Flying Cars by Embraer Will Boost the Brazilian Economy
Geraldo Alckmin emphasized the importance of this initiative to build the new factory for flying cars by Embraer for Brazil, highlighting that it represents a demonstration of confidence in the country and that the Brazilian industry, with a favorable business environment, will play a significant role in the economy in the coming years. The minister emphasized that the country is positioning itself at the forefront of extremely sophisticated industrial sectors, focusing on innovation, decarbonization, and generating quality jobs.
