The Chinese Solar Inverter Manufacturer Sungrow Will Supply Inverters and MV Stations for the Futura I 852 MWp Photovoltaic Solar Power Project in Brazil
The solar inverter company received the order, and recently a notice to proceed, from the Brazilian energy company Focus Energia regarding the Futura I solar power project. Sungrow will deliver more than 100 units of its MVS6300-LV transformer stations and over 3,000 solar inverters of the SG250HX model. The company will also provide commissioning and startup services, it said in a statement yesterday (03/09/20).

The Spanish solar tracker manufacturer Soltec Power Holdings recently announced that it will also supply its equipment for the Futura I solar power project alongside the Chinese solar inverter manufacturer. The deployment of Futura I is expected to start in April 2021, while the project’s commercial operation is anticipated for the first half of 2022.
With 22 photovoltaic parks, each with a capacity of 38.73 MWp, Futura I represents the first phase of what is planned to become the Futura solar complex of 3 GW. Focus Energia selected an area of 2,000 hectares (4,942 acres) outside the city of Juazeiro in the state of Bahia to install the Futura I plants.

Every time a river flows into the sea, an amount of energy equivalent to a 120-meter waterfall is silently wasted, but Japan has just inaugurated the world’s first power plant that captures this waste and transforms it into electricity 24 hours a day without sun, wind, or fuel.
The 852 MWp stage will require investments exceeding R$ 2.2 billion, according to Sungrow.
Futura I Solar Power Project
According to the company’s previous plan, the Futura I solar project consists of 45 parks divided between Futura 1, Futura 2, and Futura 3/Apia. All these solar power projects together will have a generating capacity of 1,000 megawatts (MWa) of average solar energy.
Focus Energia may also utilize any surplus from the Futura projects to create parallel projects that benefit the Brazilian population.
