Firjan is open for enrollment for 10,420 free vacancies in professional qualification courses in the state of Rio de Janeiro. Classes begin between May and September, and enrollment must be done exclusively in person. Just in the Metropolitan Region, there are 6,575 opportunities distributed across units such as Maracanã, Niterói, Caxias, Jacarepaguá, and São Gonçalo. The vacancies are limited and may close before the final deadline.
Those who thought 2025 would be a slow year for professional education were mistaken. In total, there are 70 courses distributed throughout the state of Rio de Janeiro, with a clear proposal: to train, without charging tuition, young people and adults in technical areas with high demand. The action is not timid — 413 classes will be opened in in-person, hybrid, and online formats between May and September.

FREE COURSES, BUT HIGHLY SPECIFIC
The areas covered directly reflect the needs of the productive sector. Food and Beverage, Automotive, Construction, Electronics, Logistics, IT, Apparel, Renewable Energies, and Metalworking are just some of the segments covered by Firjan’s courses.
And those who think these are generic courses may be surprised. The programs range from digital animation to industrial climate control rules, with options for those who want to get hands-on or dive into the digital world.
ENROLLMENT AT FIRJAN: AN IMPORTANT DETAIL
Although we are in the midst of the digital age, enrollment for Firjan’s courses remains analog, conducted in person, directly at the chosen unit. The reason? Agility and control in filling classes, since the vacancies are limited and close automatically when the maximum number of enrollees is reached.
To participate, it is necessary to present a CPF, ID, proof of schooling, and a self-declaration of low income. Minors must be accompanied by a guardian.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE
The courses are aimed at individuals with a family income of up to 1.5 federal minimum wage per capita. Each course has its own criteria for schooling and age. And for those considering enrolling in a remote class, it is important to remember: having access to a computer or laptop is mandatory, as part of the classes will occur remotely. The complete announcement, with all the details, is available at Firjan units.
