In Compliance With Petrobras’ Schedule, The FPSO P-68 Is Released To Start Operating In The Pre-Salt Of The Santos Basin By Ibama
Petrobras has obtained the release from Ibama to begin operations with the FPSO P-68 in the Berbigão and Sururu fields in the pre-salt of the Santos Basin.
According to Click Petróleo e Gás, reported on September 4, Petrobras Expected The First Oil From The Berbigão/Sururu Fields In The 4th Quarter of this year and indications are that the schedule will be met.
The LO (Operating License) is valid until October 2023, and Petrobras expects to operate the FPSO for 25 years on the assets.

The Planning
The year 2019 has been quite productive for the Brazilian state-owned company as the P-68 is the fourth FPSO to start operating. Previously, the P-67, P-76, and P-77 began production.
Petrobras reported that 11 platforms will start operation in the coming years, with five currently under contracting or planning (Marlim 1 and 2, Seap, Parque das Baleias, and Itapu).
Next year, the entry into operation of the P-70 is planned at the Atapu field. The others will be installed starting in 2021, according to the company.
The P-68 has the capacity to process 150 thousand barrels of oil per day and 6 million m³ of gas per day, in addition to storing 1.6 million barrels of oil and will operate at a water depth of 2,200 meters.
The Berbigão and Sururu fields are operated by Petrobras (42.5%), in partnership with Shell (25%), Total (22.5%), and Petrogal (10%) and are located in the BM-S-11A concession.
