The Planning
The year 2019 has been quite productive for the Brazilian state-owned company as the P-68 is the fourth FPSO to start operating. Previously, the P-67, P-76, and P-77 began production.
Petrobras reported that 11 platforms will start operation in the coming years, with five currently under contracting or planning (Marlim 1 and 2, Seap, Parque das Baleias, and Itapu).
Next year, the entry into operation of the P-70 is planned at the Atapu field. The others will be installed starting in 2021, according to the company.
The P-68 has the capacity to process 150 thousand barrels of oil per day and 6 million m³ of gas per day, in addition to storing 1.6 million barrels of oil and will operate at a water depth of 2,200 meters.
The Berbigão and Sururu fields are operated by Petrobras (42.5%), in partnership with Shell (25%), Total (22.5%), and Petrogal (10%) and are located in the BM-S-11A concession.
