Geome Xingyuan Compact Hatch Arrives to Compete in the Electric Market with the BYD Dolphin
Geely will strengthen its presence in Brazil with the launch of the Geome Xingyuan, an electric hatchback that promises to be a competitive option for those seeking technology and efficiency. The model is already successful in China and will arrive in the country by the end of 2025.
Geely Bets on Brazil with the Geome Xingyuan
Geely has already put its plan to expand in Brazil into action. According to Autoesporte, the highlight this time is the Geome Xingyuan, an electric hatch that has conquered the Chinese market, with over 100,000 units sold in less than a year. Now, the brand aims to replicate this success here, targeting directly the audience of the BYD Dolphin, the current reference in the segment.
Even being a compact car, measuring 4.14 meters in length, the Xingyuan offers plenty of interior space. The wheelbase is 2.65 meters, equivalent to SUVs like the Volkswagen T-Cross. The rear trunk provides 375 liters of capacity and also features an extra compartment of 70 liters in the front, where the engine would normally be located.

Technology and Connectivity Mark the New Geely

When it comes to technology, Geely did not hold back. The Xingyuan comes equipped with a 8.8-inch digital instrument panel, a generous 14.6-inch multimedia center, voice commands, and wireless chargers. Everything is designed to provide a modern and practical experience for the Brazilian driver, as highlighted in the Autoesporte article.
The goal of the Chinese brand is to offer an accessible electric car, but loaded with features, without losing sight of the efficiency that the public seeks.
Performance and Range of the Geome Xingyuan Impress
The Geome Xingyuan will be offered in two electric motor options, as is the case in the Chinese market. The first delivers 58 kW (78 hp) of power, while the second reaches 85 kW (114 hp). In terms of range, the model promises to travel between 310 km and 410 km in the Chinese CLTC cycle, according to information published by Autoesporte.
These numbers position the Xingyuan in a competitive spot in the Brazilian market, especially for those looking for an urban electric car that doesn’t compromise everyday practicality.
Geely’s Expansion in Brazil Strengthens the Electric Market
The arrival of the Geome Xingyuan is part of a larger strategy by Geely to strengthen its presence in the country. Before it, the electric SUV EX5 will already be on the streets starting in July 2025, with sales in 23 dealerships spread across 19 Brazilian cities. The plan was detailed also by Autoesporte.
With this movement, Geely confirms that it sees Brazil as a strategic market for electric vehicles, betting on a variety of models, onboard technology, and competitive prices.
