The Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Santa Catarina– IFSC announced the opening of slots in free professional qualification courses at some campuses in the state. There are in-person and distance learning slots at IF, spread across the cities of Araranguá, Criciúma, Florianópolis, Itajaí, Lages, Palhoça, São Carlos, São Miguel do Oeste, Tubarão, Urupema, and Xanxerê.
There are over a thousand slots in 24 courses at the Federal Institute of Santa Catarina with opportunities for different levels of education and areas of expertise. Classes are expected to start in the first semester of 2024, depending on class enrollment. There are opportunities for professionals from different fields and educational levels, as well as for individuals looking to improve their skills to enter the job market.

For those interested in in-person slots, it is important to reside in the city where the course will be offered. Distance education (EAD) slots are available for students and professionals from all over the country, including foreigners residing in Brazil with a CPF.

Enrollments must be made on the official website of the Federal Institute, directly on the Enrollment Portal. It is worth noting that no enrollment fee will be charged to participate in the IF selection process. The announcement is also available to clarify any questions candidates may have.
Selection Process at the Federal Institute Will Be Through a Public Draw
The slots in free professional qualification courses at IF will be distributed through a public draw, which will take place on April 4th. On April 5th, the list of selected candidates in the first call, as well as the waiting list, will be available on the website and social media of IF Santa Catarina.
The candidates who are selected in the first call will have from April 9th to 11th to officially enroll. Those on the waiting list should send their enrollment documentation to IF during the same period, as a way of expressing interest in any slots that may not be filled by those selected in the first call.
The list of candidates on the waiting list for the second call who secure unfilled slots – chosen through socioeconomic analysis by the federal institute staff – will be announced on April 15th.
