IFSP Opens Enrollment for 16 New Free Courses, In-Person and Online, with More Than 650 Spots. See How to Enroll by August 10 and Start Studying This Semester.

The Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of São Paulo (IFSP) has just announced an excellent opportunity for those seeking qualification this semester. The São José do Rio Preto campus has opened enrollment for 16 new courses, in in-person, hybrid, and online (EAD) modalities, offering more than 650 free spots. The initiative, formalized by Notice No. 35/2025, covers different areas of knowledge and is aimed at both the general public and education professionals, students of Pedagogy, Literature, and young people aged 14 to 16 years.

The courses cover various fields such as education, languages, technology, management, arts, health, and sports, making it a unique opportunity for those who want to update their skills, learn something new, or make a career leap.

IFSP In-Person and Online Courses: Variety of Areas and Modalities for All Profiles

The list of courses demonstrates IFSP’s commitment to serving different audiences. There are online options for those seeking flexibility, in-person courses for those who prefer direct contact, and even hybrid options for those who want to balance both models.

Among the most sought-after courses are:

  • Literacy and Reading: Some Reflections on Concepts and Practices – 50 spots, online modality, 45h.
  • Scientific Methodology and Artificial Intelligence in Research Project Development – 60 spots, online modality, 48h.
  • Excellence in Customer Service – 60 spots, online modality, 20h.
  • Basic English – 60 spots, online modality, 40h.
  • Basic Spanish – 30 spots, in-person, 40h.
  • Principles for Healthy Eating – 40 spots, hybrid, 45h.
  • Futsal Course – 15 spots, in-person, 38h, aimed at boys aged 14 to 16 years.
  • Men’s and Women’s Volleyball Course – 36 spots in total, in-person, 38h, for young people of the same age group.

This broad offering shows IFSP’s effort to democratize access to education and provide quality training for varied profiles — from early childhood education professionals to teenagers who want to practice sports with professional guidance.

IFSP Online Spots: Flexibility for Those Looking to Study from Home

One of the great advantages of the notice is the offer of distance learning courses (EAD), which allow students to study from wherever they are.

Options like “Playfulness: The Language of Childhood,” “Basic Mathematics,” and “Music in History: The Past Through Music” are among the most accessible for those who prefer or need to study remotely.

This modality expands IFSP’s reach, allowing people from other regions to participate in the training without needing to travel to São José do Rio Preto.

Open Spots at IFSP: Quota System Guarantees Inclusion

In total, there are more than 650 spots available, and the notice reinforces the institution’s commitment to inclusion. The distribution follows this breakdown:

  • 70% of the spots are for open competition.
  • 25% reserved for self-declared black, brown, indigenous, and quilombola candidates (PPIQ).
  • 5% for candidates with disabilities.

This policy ensures that different social groups have access to training opportunities, making IFSP an example of a public institution committed to diversity.

New IFSP Notice: Enrollment Extended Until August 10

Enrollment, completely free, must be done exclusively online, via an electronic form. Initially scheduled to close on July 31, it has been extended until August 10, 2025, increasing the chances of participation.

The selection process is straightforward: the order of enrollment determines the approved candidates, provided they meet the prerequisites for each course. This direct selection, without tests or interviews, makes access quicker and more democratic.

Who Can Enroll in IFSP Courses?

The prerequisites vary according to the chosen course:

  • Courses like Basic English, Excellence in Customer Service, and Principles for Healthy Eating are open to the general public.
  • Options like Literacy and Reading or Literacy are aimed at teachers, early childhood education professionals and students of Pedagogy or Literature.
  • Sports courses, such as Futsal and Volleyball, have a specific audience: youths aged 14 to 16 years.

This diversity of profiles makes the notice an excellent opportunity for different age groups and interests.

Why Is It Worth Taking Advantage of the Free Courses at IFSP?

In addition to being free, the courses offer recognized certification, which can make a difference on the resume of those seeking employment or promotion. IFSP is a prestigious federal institution, and its training adds value to any professional or student.

Another positive point is the varied course load (ranging from 20 to 80 hours), allowing each person to choose the training that best suits their time and goals.

Accessible and Quality Education for All

The initiative of IFSP São José do Rio Preto reinforces the role of federal institutes as engines of regional development. By offering courses in various areas and flexible modalities, the institution promotes continuing education and expands access to professional qualification.

More than that, it is a real opportunity for personal growth and professional enhancement for hundreds of people — at no cost.

With 16 new courses and more than 650 spots, IFSP is providing a unique chance to study with the quality of a federal institution and start applying the knowledge as early as 2025.

Enrollment is open until August 10 and the selection will be by order of enrollment. If you are looking for qualification in areas such as languages, education, health, sports, and technology, now is the time to secure your spot.
