The Federal Institute of Education, Science And Technology of Ceará (IFCE) has opened registrations for free technical courses in the EAD modality, aimed at those who have already completed high school.

The initiative, scheduled for the first semester of 2026, offers opportunities in areas such as Administration, Computer Science, Environment, Events, Restaurant and Bar, and School Secretariat.

The objective is to train professionals with quality technical education, at no cost, and with easy entry through the analysis of the school record.

The selection, governed by Public Notice No. 22/2025, covers 10 strategic campuses: Baturité, Cedro, Fortaleza, Guaramiranga, Maranguape, Paracuru, Quixadá, Sobral, Tabuleiro do Norte, and Tianguá.

How Do The Free EAD Technical Courses Work?

The free EAD technical courses from the federal institute are semi-face-to-face: 80% of the workload is fulfilled online, in synchronous and asynchronous classes, and 20% requires in-person activities at the chosen campus.

This guarantees flexibility for those who need to balance study and work, but maintains the necessary practical experience for training.

To participate, it is essential to have access to a computer and the internet.

The selection process is simple and does not require an exam.

Candidates are evaluated based on their high school academic record, considering grades in Portuguese Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry from the last two years.

This methodology allows for quick and democratic access to technical education.

IFCE also complies with the Quota Law, reserving 50% of the vacancies for students from public schools, with income criteria, self-declared black, brown, and indigenous (PPI), quilombola, and people with disabilities (PwD).
