According to Abaspetro, new bids from Petrobras will require maintenance, painting, equipment replacement, and boiler services until April.

Petrobras ended 2017 with very optimistic numbers, despite the last 3 years of low investment due to the investigations it has faced regarding corruption investigated by Operation Lava Jato. As its goal now is to increase national oil production to unprecedented levels, there are many bids underway for the platforms in the Campos Basin, in addition to the previous ones won by CSE, Eneasa, and Cobra. The municipalities in the northern part of the State of Rio de Janeiro will greatly benefit from this new phase, especially Macaé.

There is great anticipation at this moment in the region, as many investments and opportunities have already been announced. Major executives and professionals are confident and are starting to inject funds back into the sector.
