Education Departments Have Until December 21, 2025 to Enroll in the 800-Hour Distance Technical Course Offered by MEC in Partnership with IF Goiano, Which Will Qualify 40 Thousand Early Childhood Education Assistants in Public Networks Across the Country Under the Proditec Program of SEB.
The Ministry of Education (MEC) has opened registrations for a distance technical course aimed at training teaching assistants in early childhood education, with a workload of 800 hours and a start date scheduled for January 2026. The new offer aims to qualify 40,000 professionals who are already working directly in classrooms within public networks across the country.
Developed by the Secretary of Basic Education (SEB) in partnership with the Federal Institute of Goiano (IF Goiano), the training is part of the Continuing Training Program for School Directors and Education Department Technicians (Proditec) and was designed to strengthen pedagogical repertoires and practices of care and education for young children.
Workload, Format, and Objectives of the Training
The course will have a total workload of 800 hours, entirely organized in the distance education modality, allowing participants to balance study and work routines in schools.

The purpose of the distance technical course is to deepen the technical training of assistants, offering content that helps plan activities, mediate play, and qualify daily care for children.
According to MEC, the structure of the training pathway was designed to widen pedagogical repertoires and support more consistent practices in early childhood education, valuing the role of teaching assistants as part of the school team and the pedagogical project of education networks.
Who Can Participate in the Course
The target audience for the course is teaching assistants in early childhood education who already work directly in teaching classrooms.
The expectation is that 40,000 professionals will be reached by this training initiative, strengthening the presence of qualified workers in caring for young children.
As this is a distance technical course aimed at networks across the country, it is up to the education departments to identify the professionals who will be nominated to form the classes, according to the realities and local priorities of each municipality or state.
How Education Departments Enroll
Enrollment in the course is not done individually by the professionals. It is the responsibility of the education departments to carry out the process through the PAR4 Module of the Integrated System for Monitoring, Execution, and Control, Simec.
To confirm participation, it is necessary to sign the enrollment term in the system and register the assistants who will be part of the training.
The final deadline for networks to formalize enrollment is December 21, 2025. By that date, education departments need to complete all steps in Simec, ensuring that spots are effectively filled and that the nominees are ready to start the distance technical course in January 2026.
Partnership and Place of the Course in the Training Policy
The initiative is developed by the Secretary of Basic Education in partnership with the Federal Institute of Goiano, a partner institution in offering the distance technical course. Included within the scope of Proditec, the continuing education program for school directors and technicians in the departments, the new course broadens the focus of the policy to also reach early childhood education assistants.
By investing in the technical training of these professionals, MEC aims to raise the quality of work in early childhood education, bringing together theory and practice and strengthening the pedagogical daily life of daycares and preschools across the country.
And in your network, is there already a plan to enroll in the distance technical course and register early childhood education assistants for this training?
