The University for All Program (Prouni) announced the offer of more than 240,000 scholarships for the second semester of 2024. This impressive number of scholarships promises to transform the lives of many Brazilians who dream of achieving higher education. Applications will be open from July 23 to 26.
The Ministry of Education (MEC) will provide exactly 243,850 scholarships in this edition. Of this total, 170,319 will be full scholarships (100%) and 73,531 will be partial scholarships (50%). The scholarships will be distributed among 367 courses in 901 participating institutions.
Who Can Participate?
To apply for Prouni, you must have participated in the National High School Exam (Enem) in 2022 or 2023, scoring at least 450 points on average across the tests and not having received a zero on the essay.

Full scholarships are aimed at candidates with a gross monthly family income per capita below one and a half minimum wages, while partial scholarships are for those with a gross monthly family income per capita of up to three minimum wages.
Applications and Distribution of Spots
Applications for Prouni are free and must be made on the Unified Access Portal for Higher Education. The list of pre-selected candidates will be released in two calls: the first on July 31 and the second on August 20.
Those who are not selected in the first calls can express interest in participating in the waiting list between September 9 and 10, with the list being announced on September 13 on the Prouni System (Sisprouni).

Courses With the Most Scholarships
The administration course leads with the highest number of scholarships offered: 9,782 full and 5,333 partial. Next are the law courses, with 14,231 scholarships (6,320 full and 7,911 partial), pedagogy, with 13,890 scholarships (10,298 full and 3,592 partial), and accounting sciences, with 9,599 scholarships (5,643 full and 3,956 partial).
