Currently, the Caoa Chery iCar is the smallest car sold in Brazil, measuring 3.2 meters and costing R$ 149,990. Now, a smaller electric car has emerged, which consumers can assemble at home.
This is the proposal of the tiny P.50, which revives the story of the Peel P50, considered the smallest car in the world by the Guinness Book. For comparison, the smallest electric car in the world measures 1.39 m in length and 98 cm in width, while the original was 5 centimeters longer.
Smallest Electric Car In The World Redesigned Weighs Only 105 Kg
According to P50Cars, the smallest electric car in the world accommodates drivers up to 2.06 m tall, something unimaginable in the original model. However, the vehicle’s weight limit is 136 kg. The height of the P.50 is only 1.20 m while the wheelbase measures 1.09 m.

In this case, the vehicle’s maximum speed is 50 km/h and the range is 400 km at an average speed of 40 km/h. The second version is called GT EV, which is also electric, but delivers 7.83 horsepower and 7.8 kgfm of torque, with the maximum speed increasing to 80 km/h.
Finally, the third version is limited and comes with a gasoline engine with 49 cc originally from DKW. The two-stroke engine offers 4.2 horsepower and 0.5 kgfm of torque. Its consumption is 35.71 km per liter.
Smallest Electric Car In The World Can Be Assembled At Home
Those who are passionate about cars may have seen magazines with several brochures to assemble a miniature at home.
The new P.50 electric car is similar to this; the difference is that the consumer buys the complete kit at once and can assemble it at home. In this case, prices start at £10,379, which would be R$ 63,160 in direct conversion.
It is a price similar to what is currently charged for intermediate versions of a Fiat Mobi or Renault Kwid. The assembly time is about 50 hours, varying according to the buyer’s experience and skill.
Other Prices To Buy The Smallest Electric Car In The World
Among the kit options, there is also a configuration with a 49 cc engine, which is not the original DKW, for £11,706, that is, R$ 71,235; the GT EV engine configuration is priced at £13,645, R$ 83,303 in direct conversion, and a cabrio variant is sold for £15,064, which is R$ 91,670.
It is also possible for the customer to order the kit without the engine, although the price has not been revealed.
In this case, the manufacturer recommends that the consumer opt for engines derived from the E22 of Honda motorcycles. Finally, it is also possible to buy the P.50 already assembled; in this way, prices range between £13,972 (R$ 85,004) and £29,899 (R$ 181,903), with the original DKW engine.
