50 Thousand Job Vacancies And Free Courses Opened By Microsoft, The Winner Of Best Companies To Work For In Brazil 2020
Microsoft, an American transnational company, announced yesterday, Tuesday (30), new measures to assist professionals affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. In partnership with LinkedIn, the big tech will extend free courses and digital certifications for retraining until the end of 2021, in addition to offering 50 thousand job vacancies for these candidates in its Career Connector program.

The giants Microsoft and LinkedIn have been working since 2020 to minimize the impacts of the pandemic on the professional sphere. In light of the closure of many companies and mass layoffs, both multinationals offered free courses and certifications for training in digital skills, such as software development, data analysis, and financial analysis.
Results Obtained Were Surprising
About 30.7 million people worldwide have benefited. Due to the success, Brand Smith, president of Microsoft, and Ryan Roslansky, CEO of LinkedIn, decided to extend the retraining courses. The new goal is to assist 250 thousand companies in their new hires.

Microsoft Announced The Launch Of Career Connector And Open 50 Thousand Job Vacancies
Microsoft announced along with the extension of courses and professional certifications, the launch of Career Connector. The program will open, over the next three years, 50 thousand job vacancies and hire qualified individuals through learning partners or nonprofit organizations of the company.
Women and underrepresented minorities in technology will be prioritized for job vacancies. The hired professionals will work in Microsoft’s ecosystem, made up of companies that use or help sell the big tech’s products.
Initially, the Career Connector will recruit candidates from the United States, but the expectation is that the program will expand to other countries starting next year.
