Suzano Also Promises To Build A Railway Branch In Mato Grosso Do Sul
The Ministry of Infrastructure’s (Minfra) authorization for the construction of the railway branch of Suzano’s pulp and paper factory, aimed at a “shortline” of 24.7 kilometers in the municipality of Três Lagoas, Mato Grosso do Sul, will connect the Rumo Malha Oeste (RMO) bypass and the two pulp and paper production units.
Approximately R$ 170 million will be invested in the project. In the application request, the pulp and paper factory explained that it will begin in a parallel line to the current bypass in Três Lagoas, in a section to be adjusted for mixed gauge and will include a local extension to function as a waiting-entry yard with a length of 1,800 m. The branch itself will have a route parallel to BR-158, leading to the factories’ area.
Other Requests For Railways In Brazilian States
