A New Solar Power Plant Will Arrive in Tocantins After Investment of R$ 1 Billion
The Municipality of Colinas do Tocantins is set to receive the installation of operations for the construction of a solar power plant in a farm format. The mayor of Colinas do Tocantins, Dr. Kasarin, attended a meeting on Wednesday, 03, with Governor Mauro Carlesse, Bruno Cabral Izidoro, partner at Freedom Partners, and Mayor Josi Nunes from Gurupi, where a solar power plant will also be installed.

During the meeting, it was discussed that the investment in the solar power plant will be R$ 1 billion for the installation of the solar power plant in Colinas, which will have a capacity of 300 megawatts. “The project will bring more development to the region, generating jobs and income,” said Mayor Dr. Kasarin.
Governor Mauro Carlesse stated that he will do whatever is feasible to expedite the implementation of solar power plants in farm formats.

Attending the meeting in support of the solar power plant were the Secretary of State for Industry, Commerce, and Services, Tom Lyra; the president of Naturatins, Renato Jayme; the Deputy Mayor of Gurupi, Gleydson Nato; and the Deputy Mayor of Colinas do Tocantins, Francisco Delmaires.
New Investments in Solar Power Plant for Colinas do Tocantins
This week, Mayor Dr. Kasarin received for the Municipality of Colinas do Tocantins two agricultural tractors, a front loader, two harrow discs, and an agricultural trailer, acquired by the Government of Tocantins with funds from the Federal Government. The vehicles were delivered by Deputy Governor Wanderlei Barbosa. Also present during the delivery were the Deputy Mayor of Colinas do Tocantins, Francisco Delmaires, and council members Washington Aires, Ricardo Parente, Genival Dourado, and Garricha.
According to the Solarimetry Atlas, the state of Tocantins has high levels of solar incidence, which directly contributes to the better efficiency of photovoltaic panels and the generation of clean, free, and renewable energy. Thus, the state of Tocantins is the state with the best solar irradiation in the northern region of Brazil, constantly developing the use of technology in thousands of residences and commercial establishments.
