With a 6,500 mAh battery, 1.5K 144 Hz AMOLED screen, and Android 16, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro arrives in Brazil for R$ 4,499. See everything about the device.
A 6,500 mAh battery, screen with 5,200 nits brightness, and three rear cameras of 50 MP each — this is the package that Motorola brought to the Brazilian market last Tuesday (May 12) with the launch of the Motorola Edge 70 Pro. According to the site Tudo Celular, the device is already available on the brand’s official website, with prices starting at R$ 4,499 for the 256 GB version and reaching R$ 5,999 for the 512 GB model. The device debuts running Android 16 and promises three major system updates.
Autonomy and charging: the energetic heart of the Edge 70 Pro
In a market where the battery is one of the decisive factors for purchase, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro bets high. The 6,500 mAh cell is one of the largest ever seen in an intermediate brand model — designed to ensure prolonged use without charging anxiety.
When the level drops, the 90 W TurboPower system kicks in, replenishing the device with speed above the category average. There is no wireless charging in this version, but the combination of capacity and wired speed already represents a considerable differential.

Substitute for housekeepers: new iRobot robot arrives with 30,000 Pa of suction, artificial intelligence, hot spray for tough stains, and an automatic system that washes and dries the cloth on its own.
-
End of diesel in trucks in Brazil: new fuel made from sugarcane already powers 70 Copersucar vehicles, reduces costs by up to 25%, can replace 500 trucks, and accelerates competition between Scania and JAC Motors in Brazilian heavy transport.

Elon Musk focused on Brazil and lowered the price of Starlink, his internet, again: the company offers 2 Mini kits for R$ 499, gives a 15% monthly discount, free shipping, and promises speeds above 400 Mbps in the country.

The daily recommended vitamin B2 for maintaining health may be strengthening cancer cells, and scientists have discovered that riboflavin helps tumors escape a natural self-destruction mechanism used by the body to fight cancer.
Screen, sound, and design: where the Motorola Edge 70 Pro shows personality
The visual experience begins with the 6.8-inch AMOLED screen with 1.5K resolution and a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz — a number that ensures fluidity both in navigation and gaming. The peak brightness of 5,200 nits ensures visibility even under intense sunlight.

Support for Dolby Vision and the stereo audio system with Dolby Atmos complete a multimedia proposal above what is expected for the intermediate segment.
Visually, the device stands out for its finishes: there are four color options — dark blue, wine, white, and wood — using real wood and leather-like fabric on the back. Besides the aesthetic appeal, the device carries the certifications MIL-STD-810H (military-grade impact resistance), IP68, and IP69 — which cover submersion, dust, and even hot water jets.

Cameras calibrated by Pantone and 50 MP selfie
Photography is another area where the Edge 70 Pro aims to stand out. All four sensors — including the front camera — are 50 megapixels, calibrated by Pantone for color fidelity:
- Main camera: 50 MP with optical stabilization (OIS) and f/1.8 aperture;
- Ultrawide: 50 MP for wide-angle photos;
- Telephoto: 50 MP with 3.5x optical zoom;
- Front: 50 MP with f/1.9 aperture.
Artificial intelligence algorithms work on all lenses to enhance results in different lighting conditions.
Connectivity and performance
Performance is driven by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme processor, accompanied by versions with 8 GB or 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and internal storage options of 256 GB or 512 GB.
In connectivity, the model offers support for 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC. The screen protection is ensured by Gorilla Glass 7i, while the device’s resistance includes MIL-STD-810H, IP68, and IP69 certifications.

The smartphone comes out of the box with Android 16 running the Hello UX interface. Its dimensions are 159.87 x 74.28 x 6.99 mm, with a total weight of 183 grams.
