Bracell Bahia starts a new class of the Young Apprentice Program at its forest administrative headquarters with a focus on the job market and continuous improvement.
Bracell Bahia has just started a new class of the Young Apprentice program at its administrative forestry headquarters, aiming to prepare young people for the job market. This investment is part of the company's ongoing commitment to training and qualifying new professionals, providing opportunities and development of essential skills.
Over the course of a year, apprentices will have the chance to acquire practical and theoretical knowledge that will be applicable in different areas. This company initiative seeks not only insertion into the job market, but also the continuous improvement of its practices. Bracell Bahia reaffirms its fundamental role in the community by investing in the future of these young promises.
With the intention of contributing significantly to the training of a new generation of professionals, Bracell Bahia began the concomitant phase of the 2024 edition of the Jovem Aprendiz program. In total, 28 participants began developing activities in the forest administrative headquarters of the company for four days a week, while one day is dedicated to learning at the National Industrial Learning Service (Senai) unit, the company's essential partner in this project. The training will last 12 months and will also take place at the administrative headquarters in Alagoinhas.

Development in the Labor Market
With this, young people begin a valuable experience in the job market, counting on the support of experienced mentors who will share their knowledge and experiences, creating very favorable conditions for the development of these apprentices. From now on, young people will have access to a development trail made available to all employees in Bracell Bahia's forestry and industrial areas. This track focuses on aspects such as creativity, originality and initiative; ability to solve complex problems; resilience, stress tolerance and flexibility; as well as persuasion and negotiation.
When the training cycle comes to an end, each participant will present the activities they developed during the period, the proposed improvements and discuss the main challenges faced at Bracell Bahia. Maria Clara Santos de Santana, 21 years old, one of the students in the program, works in the Logistics area and reports: 'It's really worth having this experience, because Bracell is a true game changer when it comes to forestry activity and that's highly valued in the curriculum. Thinking about mine future career plan, I believe this learning in the company it's essential.'
Selection Process and Dedication
Gustavo de Alcântara, aged 18, wasted no time in signing up for the selection process. He expresses his enthusiasm: 'I'm very excited because, since I found out about the selection, I've worked hard to get in. Now I hope to be able to continue at Bracell Bahia. My mother, who works as a nursing technician at the company, has always spoken highly of the company and said that I should take advantage of this opportunity, now that I'm in.' Gustavo works in the area of Environment and Forestry Certifications.
Carolina Linhares, Human and Organizational Development (DHO) manager at Bracell, emphasizes that in addition to the obvious gains in experience provided to participants, there are also clear advantages for the company. 'The Young Apprentice program promotes continuous improvement of the learning process, improving both the team and the business. Furthermore, it allows Bracell to include people from different contexts, experiences, perceptions and ideas, making the company more plural. This prepares people who are better aligned with business expectations, adhere to the organizational culture and keep Bracell updated on trends, knowledge and new technologies', she says.

According to the manager, apprentices enjoy several benefits, normally granted to Bracell employees. They receive a salary, transportation and meal vouchers, health and dental plans, among other benefits.
