Chevrolet Unveils Electric Corvette With Aviation-Inspired Design
Chevrolet revealed an electric Corvette concept that simply does not go unnoticed. Developed by GM’s design studio in the UK, the model draws great inspiration from F-15, F-16, and F-22 fighter jets, combining aggressive lines with refined aerodynamics. According to information from Autoesporte, the car looks like it came straight out of a futuristic movie but retains the sporty essence that made the Corvette an icon.
The visual features huge air intakes, ultra-thin LED strips, 22-inch wheels in the front, and 23 in the rear. One of the highlights is the “gullwing” door opening, which reinforces the idea of high technology and innovation. On the hood, the classic fleur-de-lis emblem appears redesigned in black, while the split windshield pays tribute to the legendary 1963 Corvette Sting Ray.

The concept of the new electric Corvette is built on the “Apex Vision” structure, designed to provide the driver with a panoramic view and increase the car’s rigidity. The cabin, following the futuristic design proposal, is extremely minimalist: the seats are integrated into the structure itself and the yoke-style steering wheel divides opinions, being yet another bold bet from Chevrolet.
According to Autoesporte, the batteries are positioned in the lower part of the structure to lower the center of gravity and optimize drivability. In addition, the car features a system called Aero Duality, which manages airflow to reduce drag without relying on spoilers, preserving the clean and sophisticated look at the rear.
Electric Corvette Is Still A Concept, But Signals The Future Of Chevrolet
Despite the flashy presentation, Chevrolet clarified that the model is, for now, just a design exercise. However, it is clear that the concept may anticipate characteristics of the ninth generation of the Corvette, especially in the context of the commitment from General Motors to electrify its entire fleet of vehicles by 2035.
