The mill is being built on an area of more than 100,000 m², which was granted by the Municipality of São Cristóvão, in Sergipe, through the Economic Development Program of São Cristóvão (Prodesc).
The aim of the program is to enhance the Sergipe territory, adding value and a well-regarded presence at the global level. Grupo Maratá, founded in Sergipe, has over 50 years of history and operates in the food, agribusiness, and disposable materials (plastic packaging) sectors, as well as being active in the civil construction sector. Its products are exported to countries like Colombia, France, Netherlands, Spain, England, Italy, Austria, Ukraine, Germany, Turkey, and Israel.
Grupo Maratá’s Works Promise To Generate New Job Opportunities
It is estimated that the new venture will be able to generate new direct jobs and other indirect job opportunities, fully prioritizing local labor.
All installations will feature advanced technology, which will enhance the expansion capacity of the venture, favoring the activity of wheat grinding in the region, as well as related activities.
In addition to the labor for the construction and installations of the mill, Grupo Maratá aims to generate diverse opportunities for young interns in the area. Even after the construction is completed, there will still be job openings internally, thus generating new opportunities for those interested. The factory’s modernity contributes significantly to the constant need for the company to hire additional support for operations.
