Toyota Launches New SUV Raize, Promising to Surpass Yaris Cross in Various Aspects and Bringing a Range of Advanced Technologies.

Toyota, recognized as one of the most popular brands in global sales, aims to cater to a wide range of consumers by offering more affordable vehicles. The latest launch, the SUV Raize, represents the most economical option in the manufacturer’s catalog. This model emerges as a strong competitor to the new C3 and has the potential to even surpass the Yaris Cross in terms of accessibility and market attractiveness.

New SUV from Toyota is 4 cm Longer than the New C3

The Raize SUV, a compact entry model smaller than the Yaris Cross and set to become a Global phenomenon, is already developed in India, but is also available throughout Asia. The model is a product that is set to be very popular there, having extremely competitive prices in the country.

In dimensions, the SUV is 4 cm longer than our new C3, which is one of its main direct rivals over there. In India, it measures 4.3 cm in length, 2.52 in wheelbase, 1.70 in width, 1.60 in height, weighing a lightweight 1076 kg and accommodating a good 350 L of luggage in the trunk.

The look of the new SUV from Toyota is quite contradictory, appealing to some but not to others due to being derived from a car of another brand. At the front, there is a hexagonal grille, full LED headlights, and daytime running lights in the bumper.

On the sides, the model, which promises to surpass the Yaris Cross, features two-tone paint with a Black Piano roof and 17-inch wheels with a diamond finish. Moving to the rear, the Raize brings an integrated spoiler and LED taillights linked by a Black Piano strip.

New SUV from Toyota Delivers 98 Horsepower

In powertrain, the model, which promises to surpass the Yaris Cross, is quite appealing with its setup. The only option it offers is the 1.0 three-cylinder Turbo with direct fuel injection that runs solely on gasoline. It produces up to 98 horsepower and 14.3 kgfm of torque, which can be paired with either a six-speed manual transmission or an automatic CVT that simulates up to seven speeds.

The performance is excellent thanks to the low weight, with the Raize accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 10.3 seconds. The fuel consumption figures are also pleasing, with Toyota recording 13.4 km per liter in the city and 17 km per liter on the highway, it is worth noting that it runs exclusively on gasoline.

Moving to the interior, the new SUV from Toyota features a finish full of hard plastic, but the assembly exceeds that of its direct competitors. The interior space comfortably accommodates four adults, with a maximum of one child in the middle, as it is not that large of a car.

Model That Will Replace Yaris Cross Features Several New Technologies

The list of equipment is very interesting, with highlights including a keyless entry system, digital single-zone climate control, heated front seats, electrically foldable mirrors, a multifunction steering wheel, a partially digital dashboard featuring a configurable 7-inch screen, among others.

The multimedia center is a major positive point in the interior of the new SUV from Toyota. The 9-inch screen brings native GPS, a rearview camera, and wireless connectivity for Apple Carplay and Android Auto. In terms of safety, even though it is an extremely affordable SUV, the Raize includes everything expected for the category it belongs to, greatly elevating its level.

The car features collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, rear cross-traffic alert that provides braking for maneuvers, lane departure warning with correction assistance, and even adaptive cruise control.
