New Volkswagen ID.1 Electric Car Launches at Less Than R$ 200,000
On Wednesday, the 15th, Volkswagen revealed the new brand new electric car they are producing, promising a smaller, cheaper, more economical vehicle, following the concept of the Volkswagen ID.2, the so-called ID.1, according to the Quatro Rodas website.
The starting price of the Volkswagen ID.2 is projected to hit the market at around € 25,000, about R$ 140,000, and the ID.1 will cost approximately € 20,000, similar to the starting price of the Polo in Germany, including taxes. The Volkswagen electric car is also equivalent to the price of the Polo Highline in Brazil, which costs R$ 111,990.
Volkswagen is striving to redefine the symbolism of a cheap electric car; the brand is working to ensure that the electric car from Volkswagen achieves extraordinary savings for the car and makes it a more profitable vehicle.

Mission to Make the New Volkswagen Electric Car a Profitable Vehicle
In this mission by Volkswagen to make its new electric car a profitable vehicle, one way the brand has found to control costs is by sharing the design of its new vehicle with other car brands such as Skoda, Seat, and Cupra.
Additionally, Volkswagen is also implementing cheaper chemicals and LFP batteries, which are lithium iron phosphate batteries, that is, another way to make the electric car more profitable.
The Volkswagen car will have a capacity of approximately 60 kWh, enough for at least 400 km of range. It is expected that the new ID.1 electric vehicle will have many components compared to the ID.2, which will have a similar appearance to a Golf. The ID.1 will resemble the Polo. Both are expected to be sold in Brazil, but not before 2025.
