The Next iPhone Promises To Offer A Significant Advantage Over Samsung’s Galaxy Phones With Innovations That Elevate User Experience To Another Level.

In recent years, Apple has faced much criticism regarding the price charged for the iPhone. However, a new landscape is emerging, with Samsung, its biggest rival, following the path of increasing prices for its smartphones, especially the most advanced models.

Meanwhile, Apple is working to keep its prices stable. We will understand how this rivalry may shape the future of high-performance smartphones.

Rising Prices: Samsung’s Bet

The Galaxy S24 Ultra, Samsung’s latest release, already has a price higher than that of the iPhone 16 Pro Max in the United States. While the iPhone 16 Pro Max is sold for US$ 1,199.99, the Galaxy S24 Ultra has a starting price of US$ 1,299.99.

According to Phone Arena, this movement is not isolated, and rumors suggest that upcoming models, such as the Galaxy S25, will also see price increases.

The S25 Ultra model, for example, could see a price increase of US$ 100, raising the total price by up to US$ 200. This increase reflects a growing trend in Samsung’s device prices, putting it in a delicate position compared to Apple.

Qualcomm and Exynos

The pressure on Samsung is not limited to smartphone prices. Qualcomm, the main chip supplier for Galaxy devices, plans to raise the price of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2, which directly impacts the production cost of devices.

If Samsung continues to use these chips, the prices of its upcoming smartphones will reflect this increase.

Additionally, Samsung has faced serious issues with its chip production unit, Samsung Foundry, which had a yield of only 10%. This led the company to abandon Exynos for the S25 smartphone line.

The solution now seems to be seeking TSMC, the world’s largest chip manufacturer, for the production of its processors.

The Difference of the iPhone

While Samsung struggles with rising prices and supplier issues, Apple has managed to keep the prices of its devices relatively stable.

This is possible, in part, thanks to its strategy of developing its own chips, known as Apple Silicon.

Apple designs its chips and outsources them to TSMC for production, a strategy that allows greater control over costs and performance.

This approach helps the company maintain competitive pricing, even with the growing demand for high-performance smartphones.

Apple’s advantage in this scenario is clear: it can offer smartphones with excellent performance at predictable prices, while Samsung faces growing pressure to adjust its prices as production costs rise.

This could put Samsung in a difficult position, especially in the North American market, where Apple has a loyal and growing consumer base.

The Impact on The Market

This difference in strategies may have significant implications for the future of the smartphone market. With rising prices from Samsung, many consumers may turn to Apple, which continues to offer excellent value for money in terms of price and performance.

The situation puts Samsung in a dilemma: if it fails to adjust its prices effectively, it could lose market share to Apple. This could turn the rivalry between the two giants into an even more intense battle in the coming years.
