PGS Will Return to the Campos Basin This December to Continue Its 3D Seismic Survey
Petroleum Geo-Services – PGS, will return with the PGS Ramform Titan vessel to the Campos Basin to continue the 3D seismic survey. The vessel will again be outfitted with 14 multisensor streamers, each 10.05 kilometers long, the longest offshore towable length in Brazil. The company states it will map over 8,400 square kilometers with the resumption of operations.

The company explains that the Campos Deepwater GeoStreamer X project combines new 3D data, providing a radical change in image quality by delivering high-quality multi-azimuth seismic data, long-offset over the deep water portion of the northern Campos Basin.
The program uses PGS’s latest acquisition and imaging innovations, along with legacy library data. When completed, the survey will cover approximately 14,900 square kilometers.
