New Volkswagen Hatch Makes Mega Launch In Nürburgring To Drive Brand Fans Crazy And Car Reaches 267 Km/h With 300 Hp Of Power!

The 2024 Volkswagen Golf Clubsport was finally unveiled to the public at Nürburgring, Germany, during the iconic 24-hour race. This special edition celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Volkswagen Golf, bringing 300 horsepower, making it the most powerful Golf GTI ever produced by the brand. This launch stands out not only for its power but also for its design and advanced technology.

External Design Of The Golf Clubsport 2024

Unlike the standard Golf GTI, which has 265 hp, the Clubsport is immediately recognizable thanks to its distinctive larger front “wings” and glossy black finish. This hatch also features IQ.LIGHT LED Matrix headlights and optional 3D LED taillights, with dynamic blink functions and customizable “Welcome” and “Goodbye” sequences.

Another detail that catches the eye is the large rear spoiler with openings to improve aerodynamics, essential for superior performance. At the back, the Clubsport maintains the two simple exhausts, with the option of a sports exhaust system from Akrapovic, which intensifies the engine sound and comes standard in the optional “Race” package.

Luxurious And Technological Interior

The interior of the 2024 Volkswagen Golf Clubsport is a combination of tradition and modernity. The famous plaid pattern of the seats and the iconic ball on the gear lever remain, but they are now complemented by a fourth-generation modular multimedia system (MIB4) with a 12.9-inch touchscreen. Available in two versions, the system offers GPS navigation as an upgrade in the Ready 2 Discover version or as standard in the Discover version.

The ArtVelours seats, a robust material, provide a premium touch, with leather and carbon fiber available as options. The audio system can be upgraded with the Harman Kardon 480-watt Sound System 2, along with the addition of a virtual assistant via ChatGPT.

Power And Mechanical Performance

The Clubsport’s EA888 evo4 turbo engine, a gasoline, four-cylinder with TSI direct injection at 350 bar, delivers 300 hp and 40.8 kgfm of torque to the front axle. With the 7-speed DSG automatic transmission, the Golf Clubsport accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.6 seconds, reaching a top speed of 267 km/h with the “Race” package.

Both GTI models feature a limited-slip differential (XDS) on the front axle that is electronically controlled, ensuring efficient torque management even in the most extreme driving conditions. The Clubsport further stands out with its new progressive steering, configured for a more precise and agile response.

Prices And Availability Of The Golf Clubsport 2024

Starting in June 2024, the new Golf GTI Clubsport will be available for order in Europe, with prices yet to be announced for the Italian market. It is estimated that the starting price will exceed 50,000 euros (R$ 284,518), considering that the standard GTI starts at 44,950 euros (R$ 255,782).

Volkswagen is considering bringing the Golf back to Brazil, with a sporty version to compete with the Toyota GR Corolla and the Honda Civic Type-R. According to Ciro Possobom, president of Volkswagen in Latin America, the brand is still considering whether to bring the Golf GTI or the Golf R, with the Clubsport being a possible option for an exclusive sports model.

Thus, the 2024 Volkswagen Golf Clubsport promises to be a perfect combination of power, design, and technology, further elevating the prestige of the Golf line in the global automotive market.
