The Aircraft Arrived in the Country and Is Scheduled to Perform Logistics Missions on Ships, Passenger Transport for the Offshore Oil and Gas Industry
Always betting on innovation, Omni Air Taxi has just added the first H175 model to its fleet of helicopters. Manufactured in France by Airbus Helicopters, the super medium aircraft, with the capacity to comfortably transport 16 passengers to ships in the offshore oil and gas industry, is the first of its kind to operate in South America.

Omni Air Taxi and Its New Contract with the Offshore Oil and Gas Industry
The aircraft arrives in Brazil to fulfill the new contract of Omni with Petrobras, operating on ships, mainly for the transportation of passengers and cargo in the Amazon region, where the oil company develops offshore oil and gas industry activities.
The aircraft is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, aligned with the best and most modern practices of the aviation industry, such as TCAS 2 and external cameras for operation monitoring.

Omni’s CEO, Roberto Coimbra, said the H175 has the range “to reach 100 percent of Brazil’s offshore installations and [with] high-tech equipment onboard, it is a very promising aircraft” to serve the Brazilian oil and gas market.
“With currently 40 aircraft in service accumulating more than 85,000 flight hours, the H175 has set new standards for offshore operations worldwide, and I thank Omni for introducing the aircraft to the important Brazilian oil and gas market,” said Airbus Helicopters Oil and Gas VP Regis Magnac.
How Will the H175 Meet the Demands of the Oil and Gas Sector, Offshore Logistics Operations for Platforms and Ships?
In summary, the H175 has been designed to primarily serve the offshore energy market and can transport 16 passengers up to 160 nm.
The aircraft is equipped with the Helionix avionics suite from Airbus, a four-axis autopilot, and can perform fully automated approaches to oil platforms in Rig’N Fly mode.
