Petrobras formalized a R$ 8.4 billion contract with Subsea7. This agreement is for the development of the Búzios 11 Project. Subsea7 will be responsible for the engineering, procurement, construction, and installation (EPCI) of the project. The company was selected through a competitive process, according to information from the Petrobras Agency.
Boost in Job Creation and Local Content with Contract between Petrobras and Subsea7
The contract is expected to generate more than a thousand direct and indirect jobs. A minimum requirement of 40% local content has been established. However, Petrobras hopes to achieve a percentage above 50%.

Renata Baruzzi, Director of Engineering, Technology, and Innovation at Petrobras, emphasized the importance of the measure. “It brings the company’s suppliers closer, expands the development of the entire national supply chain, and generates jobs,” Baruzzi stated. According to her, increasing local content enhances project management.
Scope and Schedule of the Búzios 11 Project
The Development Project for Búzios 11 Production is ambitious. It foresees the interconnection of 15 wells to the P-83 platform. Of these, 8 will be producers and 7 will be alternating water and gas injectors. The start of the offshore EPCI Búzios 11 campaign is scheduled for October 2027.
The Búzios field is operated by Petrobras. The consortium also includes the Chinese partner companies CNOOC and CNODC. PPSA, the company that manages production sharing contracts, is also part of the consortium. This project reinforces Petrobras’ strategy to develop world-class assets.
