In addition to operating the block, Petrobras holds a 30% stake in the consortium, which also includes the French company TotalEnergies (30%), Malaysian Petronas (20%), and the state-owned QatarEnergy (20%).
Goal is to Double Production in the Campos Basin by 2035
Petrobras has ambitious plans for the Campos Basin. By 2035, the company’s goal is to double the daily production of oil and natural gas in the region.
This strategy is crucial for maintaining the company’s leadership in the energy sector and ensuring the country’s energy security.
Deepwater Aquila Drill Ship Leads Operation
The drilling of the well is being executed by the state-of-the-art Deepwater Aquila drill ship, owned by Transocean, a company specialized in offshore drilling.
With the capacity to operate in ultra-deep waters, the equipment ensures greater precision and safety for exploration operations in the pre-salt.
